Donut Muffins

Serves: 12 muffins
Ingredients
  • ⅓ cup butter, room temp
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg, room temp
  • 1-1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon
  • ⅛ tsp cardamon
  • ¾ cup milk
  • icing sugar for dusting
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350℉. Lightly grease a 12 cup muffin tin.
  2. In a large bowl cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add in the egg, beat again until fluffy.
  3. In a separate bowl whisk together the flour,baking powder,salt and spices.
  4. Add to the butter mixture along with the milk and stir together until well combined.
  5. Fill muffin tins ½ full and bake about 20-22 minutes until tops are just golden and firm to the touch.
  6. Remove from oven and let cool in pan 5 minutes, then remove from pan to rack to cool.
  7. When cool, dust with icing sugar.
